Integrative sessions designed to help children regulate emotions, develop social and communication skills, and build resilience, working within the child’s family system to support growth at home and in daily life.
Young Mind Reset is an integrative, child-centred program that supports children in managing emotions, building social and communication skills, and reaching developmental milestones. Drawing on my 7 years of experience as a behavioural therapist, I work with children facing diverse challenges and diagnoses, helping them discover their own strategies to self-regulate, problem-solve, and thrive.
Key elements of the program include:
Emotional regulation: Helping children identify, understand, and manage their emotions in age-appropriate ways
Social skills and communication: Developing expressive and receptive communication abilities through guided interaction and play
Cognitive and behavioural strategies: Using mindfulness, ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), and cognitive restructuring techniques
Play-based learning: Exploring new ways to communicate, collaborate, and practice coping strategies in a safe and engaging environment
Family integration: Working with the child as part of a dynamic family system to encourage consistent learning and reinforcement at home
Parent support: Teaching and modeling behaviours, strategies, and responses so parents can reinforce skills and foster positive interactions in daily life
Developmental milestones: Tailoring interventions to each child’s unique needs and growth trajectory
